BoF,
You guys have no idea how invaluable this site is to young and emerging designers. There are times when I hit a creative wall or financial road block and have no idea where to turn... But then I will click on to BoF and learn about a new or established designer/brand's journey and quickly identify a new path for myself or a stronger commitment "to stay the course".
Thanks a million for truly moving the conversation of fashion and the business of fashion forward.

Dear Mal,
That might be one of the most meaningful comments we have received. And I think that is exactly what The Business of Fashion is about.

I'm with Mal! That first article was great and very inspiring to designers and anyone in the fashion business alike. I want to soak up everything in that article because it was all so insightful! I agree with Sabyasachi about how trends are dictated by the uppers and then everyone else falls in line, I prefer (original) concepts over trends!
And that Vegas article was a great read. I'm always so fascinated with the retail scene there and it was cool reading about the behind the scenes stuff. It's amazing how new hotels are being built to trump all the rest, kinda sad for the old, original ones, but I guess that's business!

Another in agreement with Sabyasachi. It's obvious to me that fashion is going to eat itself with its relentless 'next big thing' culture but he is a leader not a follower, so needn't worry, he'll survive.
